This includes community engagement, grievance mechanisms, cultural heritage management, health and safety systems, psychosocial risk management, workforce planning, training and development pathways. By managing people-related risks and supporting positive outcomes, we strengthen trust, operational resilience and long-term value creation.

Our Human Rights Policy
Fortescue is committed to respecting and supporting human rights across our operations, supply chains, and the communities in which we operate. We respect the International Bill of Human Rights and the rights set out in the International Labour Organisation’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. Our approach reflects global standards for ethical business practices, including the guidance of the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Our Human Rights Policy serves as the foundation for this commitment, helping us to integrate human rights considerations into decision-making processes and operational activities.

Modern Slavery Statement FY25
Fortescue recognises that modern slavery risks can arise across global operations and supply chains, particularly in complex and labour intensive industries. Fortescue rejects the use of all forms of slavery, child or forced labour within our operations and the operations of our suppliers and actively works to ensure we are not complicit in human rights abuses committed by others.
Our FY25 Modern Slavery Statement outlines the actions we have taken to address modern slavery risks across our workforce, business relationships and supply chain. These actions include conducting ongoing due diligence, delivering training to our employees, collaborating and capacity building with our suppliers, and providing access to grievance mechanisms such as our Speak Up service. We will publish an update of our Modern Slavery Statement in December 2026.
